Yushima Tenjin (3)

ume tree in yushima tenjin

Yushima tenjin is noted for ume (Japanese apricot) blossoms.
A lot of ume trees are planted in the precincts of the shinto shrine .
Because Sugawara Michizane who is a object of worship in the shrine, loved ume so much.

Ume blossoms, blue sky, peaceful place, spirituality...: all that seems perfect to sum up a kind of Japanese spirit..
