Marunouchi Side of Tokyo Station

marunouchi side of tokyo station That red bricks building is marunouchi side of Tokyo station.
Originally it had three stories.
But top was burn down in world war 2.
And now, it is under construction for restoration to original figure.

By the way, marunouchi is a business district that is located between Tokyo station and Imperial palace.

The architecture of red bricks looks strangely occidental; It could be a station of north of France!.. The contrast with the tall modern building just behind is strong. Is the tower also a part of the station?

Hee, I actually saw this train station when I visited a few years ago. Found it awesome then, still do.

I really love the mix of architectural styles in Tokyo. I hope the restoration goes well and quickly!

Nice contrast between the station and the modern buildings. I prefer the station building.

i like watching construction projects turn into the final project. It looks like it is going to be quite nice. I am glad they are keeping the old with the new.
