Gate of Yamamoto-tei

gate of yamamoto-tei
I took this photo from the garden of yamamoto-tei .
This gate is rare.
The shape is a traditional Japanese style.
But it has western style designs.

One could say this gate is where east meets west.

It's so nice to see such a different type of structure and one that is so beautiful!

Nice gate, but I really prefer your traditional ones!

That makes a strange mix; Being japanese without being japanese. But the result is interesting.

I like how Japan preserves culture and tradition. The structures are well maintained and preserved makine younger generations see the rich roots.
