Former Yasuda Garden (Kyu Yasuda Teien)


Former Yasuda Garden is a Japanese garden located in Ryogoku district.
This garden was formerly a property of Zenjiro Yasuda who was a business man in Meiji era.
It is belongs to Sumida ward as public garden now.

Originally, it was a feudal lord's garden in Edo era.
This garden is small, but it has nice design and rich nature.
And every one can enjoy in this garden free of charge.

Red Leaves in Green



I took these photos in Former Yasuda Garden today.
Those leaves of Japanese maple have started to change to red.
Almost leaves of the tree are still green.
But those red leaves stood out in green.

On the Terrace of Maid Cafe


I took these photos in akihabara electric town.
Around the Cafe, there are many electric products shops and electric parts shops.

By the way, those girls in the first photo said that they get coffee amazing delicious by their incantation.
Those words of the incantation are....
"OISHIKU NARE MOE MOE KYUN".

Akiba no Usagi Jinja

akiba no usagi jinja

"Akiba no Usagi Jinja (Bunny Shrine at Akiba)" opened in this year.
"Akiba" means Akihabara.
It is located on chuo-dori(chuo-street) at akihabara.
Of course, it is not real shinto shrine.
You can see lovely characters on that board above that red gate.
Those characters are designed by Aoi Nishimata who is popular illustrator.

This is a back street in akihabara electric town.

Tokyo Ginko Kyokai Building

Tokyo ginko kyokai building
Tokyo ginko kyokai building ( Tokyo bankers club building ) is located in marunouch.>
That street is hibiya-dori (hibiya-street).
The old building remains as a part of the new building.

The Old Building of The Bank of Japan

The Bank of Japan is the central bank of Japan.
The head office of the bank consists of the old building, new building, and annex building.
Those are located in nihonbashi motoishi-cho.

The old building was built in 1903.
It was designed by Kingo Tatsuno (1854-1919).
He is also known as architect who designed the old building of the Tokyo station.

Kanda Yabusoba

Kanda Yabusoba (かんだやぶそば) is a long-established soba shop in kanda-awajicho.
Soba is a Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour.
It is a most famous soba shop (soba restaurant) in Tokyo.
It is established in 1880 and that building was built in 1923(after the great kanto earthquake).

Isegen



Isegen (いせ源) is a long-established Japanese restaurant in kanda-sudacho.
The restaurant is specializing in monkfish (arglerfish) dish.
It was established in 1830, and current building was built in 1930.

It is located very close to Takemura that I introduced you yesterday.

From today, I introduce you three old buildings in kanda.
Those are approved as historical architecture by the Tokyo metropolitan government.

Photos above are Takemura (竹むら) that is a long-established Japanese sweet shop in kanda-sudacho.
It was established in 1930.
You can have traditional Japanese sweet in the atmospheric building.
