Bairin-zaka (slope)

Bairin-zaka literary means Ume grove slope.
This slope is in Higashi Gyoen ( East Gardens of Imperial Palace ) that is located on the former site of Edo castle.
Many ume trees are planted there.
When I visited there, those ume blossoms are almost in full bloom.

Our fruit trees look almost the same this week - the blossoms are just flowering on some of the trees.

Im totally sure if I was in the park EAST of the imperial garden, but I certainly was in a park / green area in front of the imperial district, where I was able to see the palace - or even a building of the palace. I think it was approaching from the south.
