Hydrangea in Senso-ji Temple

hydrangea in senso-ji templeWhen I visited Senso-ji temple the other day, I found hydrangea beside a stone tablet inscribed with haiku by Masaoka Shiki.

And that hydrangea gave me a chance to take a photo of the five storied pagoda in the temple.

I took these photo on denpoin-dori ( street ) in asakusa.

Hydrangea and Stone Guardian Dog

I took this photo in Hakusan Jinja ( Hakusan Shrine ).
Hakusan Jinja is a shinto shrine located in bunkyo ward.
This shrine is a well known hydrangea viewing spot in Tokyo.

Ninomaru Pond in Early Summer


This pond is located in Ninomaru garden of Higashi Gyoen (The East Gardens of Imperial Palace).
On that day I visited there, satsuki azalea bloom around the pond.

And little yellow flowers bloom on the water of the pond.



In the photo above, you can see hanashobu iris field over the pond.

Hanashobu (Japanese Iris) in Higashi Gyoen


I visited Higashi Gyoen (The East Gardens of Imperial Palace) to view Hanashobu (Japanese iris) today.
84 varieties iris grow by Ninomaru pond.
That iris field is not so large, but those iriese are maintained carfuly.

That is a udon (Japanese thick noodle) restaurant.
