They say that akihabara is a holy place for Otaku.
I think maid cafe is one of symbol of Otaku-culture.
That maid just looks like a character of anime.
She is promoting the maid cafe.
By the way, I will show you a nostalgic scenery in akihabara tomorrow.
Stay tuned!!

We saw some of those girls appear here since the mangas arrived here; Some girls, (and very seldom boys) get dressed like their favorite heroes. But it does not suit to everyone...
How much more expensive is food and drink in one of these specialty places compared to a regular place?
When I went to Tokyo a few years ago, my sister made sure we spent an afternoon in Akihabara to people-watch — that was so much fun! But I was too shy to take photos of them.
Love this post, Nobu. Thanks! I'll be sure to come back tomorrow to find out what your cliff-hanger is :)
Very cool shot!
If you want to earn money you have to work in everything.
AI;
I don't know certaily, but I heared it is not so deffirent to regular cafe.
The thing with these maids is that this look was popular in 1998 when I was in Tokyo. I'm surprised the trend still lives.
