An Exit of Tokyo Station

Photo above is marunouchi side central exit of Tokyo station.
Marunouchi is a business district that lies west side of Tokyo station.
You can see fences in the photo.
The station building is under construction for restoration now.

Marunouchi Side of Tokyo Station

That red bricks building is marunouchi side of Tokyo station.
Originally it had three stories.
But top was burn down in world war 2.
And now, it is under construction for restoration to original figure.


By the way, marunouchi is a business district that is located between Tokyo station and Imperial palace.

Tokyo Banana

I took this photo in the central concourse of Tokyo railway station.
"Tokyo Banana" is a soft cake banana shaped ( actually very fat banana shape).
It is a popular sweet as souvenir of Tokyo.

Ticket counter of shinkansen

This is in Tokyo railway station.
That counter is a ticket counter of shinkansen.
Shinkansen is a network of high speed railway line in Japan.

Yaesu

This is east side of Tokyo railway station.
We call the place "Yaesu".
And we call the other side (west side ) of Tokyo station, "Marunouchi".

Yaesu Book center

This is a well known large book store.
It is located by Tokyo railway station.
around the store is business area, so it is popular among business man.

Station Concierge Tokyo

It is in first basement of Tokyo railway station.
They give information not only about the station, but also sight seeing.
And they speak English.
This is a service of "GranSta".

GranSta

"Gransta" is a shopping zone in Tokyo railway station.
It is in first basement of Tokyo railway station.
There are various specialty shops, such as sweet,Bento,liquor, and so on.
It was open in 2007.

Ginnosuzu

"Ginnosuzu" is a well known meeting spot in Tokyo railway station.
It is in first basement of Tokyo station.
"Ginnosuzu" means "Silver bell".

Central concourse of Tokyo station

This is a central concourse of Tokyo railway station.
Tokyo station is central station of Japan.
It is crowded.

Hato bus

That is a "Hato Bus".
Hato Bus is bus which is for Tokyo sight seeing in a day.

East side of Tokyo railway station

This photo is east side of Tokyo railway station.
You can see a tall building over there.
That is "Gran Tokyo North" which was open in 2007.
