Young Leaves

I took this photo on gyoko-dori(street).
Gyoko-dori is a street which lies from uchibori-dori (street) at Imperial palace plaza to marunouch side of Tokyo station.
I like those fresh leaves of ginkgo tree.

Plaza of Tokyo International Forum

Tokyo International Forum is an exhibition and concert hall and conference center located in marunouchi district.
I like those trees in the plaza.

I took these photos last Friday on Hibiya-dori (Hibiya street) at marunouchi.
You can see outer moat of Imperial palace in the photo above.

Tokyo Ginko Kyokai Building

Tokyo ginko kyokai building ( Tokyo bankers club building ) is located in marunouch.>
That street is hibiya-dori (hibiya-street).
The old building remains as a part of the new building.
What do you think of the way to keep old architecture?

Summer has gone

I took these photos on gyoko-dori (gyoko street) today.
Leaves of those ginkgo trees are still green.
But I found a yellow leaf under the tree.
And you can see some ginkgo nuts (very small) in the second photo.
Time is running so fast.
Summer has gone.
When leaves of ginkgo turn to yellow, I will visit there again.

Green Leaves along the street

I took this photo on hibiya-dori (street) at marunouchi.
Ginkgo trees along the street have young green leaves.
Those ginkgo leaves turn to yellow in autumn.

Azalea by the Moat

I took this photo in marunouchi (district ).

It is in heart of Tokyo.

Do you remember that moat?

It is a outer moat of former edo castle.

When I walked along the moat, I found this flower.

Azalea is one of my favorite flower in spring.

An Exit of Tokyo Station

Photo above is marunouchi side central exit of Tokyo station.
Marunouchi is a business district that lies west side of Tokyo station.
You can see fences in the photo.
The station building is under construction for restoration now.

Meiji Seimei Kan

This building is located in marunouchi.
It stands across the Imperial palace plaza.
You can see it in the photo I post yesterday.

Marunouchi is a business district in heart of Tokyo.

Swan at heart of Tokyo

I took this photo in the Imperial palace plaza.

You can see swan sailing in the moat.
This moat was an outer moat of former Edo castle.

And you can see buildings in a business district over there.

Imperial Palace Plaza

Imperial palace plaza is a park which is located out side of the Imperial palace.
And it is next to East garden of the Imperial palace.
This park is near to Tokyo station.

Many pine trees are planted in the large park.
And you can see many architectures of former Edo castle such as gates, bridges, moats and turrets.
Because Imperial palace is located on the site of former Edo castle which was residence of Tokugawa shogun in Edo Era.

Gyoko-dori and Sotobori

Gyoko-dori is a street which lies from uchibori-dori (street) at Imperial palace plaza to marunouch side of Tokyo station.
That moat is outer moat (sotobori) of former Edo castle.

I went to Imperial palace plaza after taking photo of Tokyo station last Saturday.
It is short walking to the plaza from the station.
I will introduce you the plaza from tomorrow.

Marunouchi Side of Tokyo Station

That red bricks building is marunouchi side of Tokyo station.
Originally it had three stories.
But top was burn down in world war 2.
And now, it is under construction for restoration to original figure.


By the way, marunouchi is a business district that is located between Tokyo station and Imperial palace.
