The Old Building of The Bank of Japan

the old building of The Bank of Japan
The Bank of Japan is the central bank of Japan.
The head office of the bank consists of the old building, new building, and annex building.
Those are located in nihonbashi motoishi-cho.

The old building was built in 1903.
It was designed by Kingo Tatsuno (1854-1919).
He is also known as architect who designed the old building of the Tokyo station.
I took this photo from sotobori-dori (street).

This photo was taken on 19 September , 2009.

A solemn building with much green around.

The building features that timeless, classical style of architecture.
I like the way it steps up on levels.
Nice post!

The old building looks proudly like an old and solid castle that noone and nothing, even time itself, will be able to destroy!
