Herons often look like dancers!
In France , we have a very famous poem about a heron
"Un jour, sur ses longs pieds
allait je ne sais où
un héron au long bec emmanché d'un long cou.."
"Once upon a time, on its long feet
a heron with a long beek
was walking with its long neck"..
Amazing that a world away, here in Florida, herons are also walking the shoreline of the bay near my home. These are beautiful images.
