Kaizando Hall and Cherry Blossoms





Kaizando is a hall of Kaneiji temple.
It is located in the north of Ueno park.
In cherry blossoms time, Ueno park is very very crowded, but around the temple is calm.

Kaizando Hall




This is a hall of Kanei-ji temple.
It is located next to Tokyo National Museum.
If  I have a chance, I will visit there again in cherry blossom time.

Statue of the Imperial Prince Komatsunomiya Akihito


This statue stands in Ueno park.
He  was the first president of the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Shinobazu Pond


Shinobazu Pond is a pond located in Ueno Park.
I visited there last Thursday.

This is my first attempt at High Dynamic Range Image.
I took three photos in defferent exposure and tone-mapped.

Shinobazu-dori and Pond


I took the photo above on Shiboazu-dori(street).
You can see Shinobazu pond in the right side of the photo.


This pond is located in the southern part of Ueno park.
The pond is an oasis for birds.

On that day I visited Shinobazu-pond to viewing lotus flowers, I dropped by Kiyomizu-kannondo.


This is a view from the stage of Kiyomizu-Kannondo.
You can see many cherry trees with green leaves.

Lotus Pond





Every summer, I visit Ueno park to view lotus flowers.
Shinobazu-pond is a large pond that is located in Ueno park.
That part of the pond is called "Hasu Ike (lotus pond)".

Peony Garden in Spring ( 2 )

Bleeding heart
How was my previous post, Peony Garden in Spring (1) ?
You can see many kind of peonies in the peony garden of Ueno Toshogu (shrine).
And you can also see other lovely flowers in this garden.

Peony Garden in Spring ( 1 )


I took these photos in peony garden of Ueno Toshogu Shrine that is located in Ueno Park.
I have already introduced you winter peonies in the garden last year.
So I show you the garden in spring.
You can see petals of cherry blossoms on the ground in the photo above.
I think the garden has different beauty in both season.

Cherry Blossoms in Ueno Park




Today, I visited ueno park that is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing point in Tokyo.
Today is wednesday, and cloudy, but the park is so crowded.
I think those cherry blossoms in the park will be in full bloom soon.
