Life Size Model of Blue Whale in Ueno Park

This gigantic model is displayed outside of The National Museum of Nature and Science that is located in the east part of Ueno Park.
It is a model of female blue whale.
After breathing deeply, she is about to dive into the undersea.

It was established in 1872.
This photo is the current main building of the museum.
It was opened 1938.
I like this architecture.

National Museum of Nature and Sience

The National Museum of Nature and Sience is located in ueno park.
This building was built in 1930.

This is a D51 steam locomotion displayed in front of the museum.

It is powerful.

National Museum of Western Art

The National Museum of Western Art is located in ueno park.
This museum was opened in 1959 on the basis of Matsukata Collection.
The main building was designed by Le Corbusier.

You can see masterpieces of modern French sculpture in the garden.

Ueno Royal Museum

Ueno Royal Museum is a nongovermental museum which is located in ueno park.
It is near to statue of Saigo Takamori.

On that day, I went there, Leonard Foujita exhibition was held.
