Statue of the Imperial Prince Komatsunomiya Akihito

This statue stands in Ueno park.

He  was the first president of the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Statue in Imperial Palace Plaza

This is a statue of Kusunoki Masashige.
Kusunoki Masashige(1294-1336) was a brave and wise samurai.
He fought for Emperror Go-daigo.
Later, he has been respected by people as a samurai of high integrity.

Walking from Ginza to Akihabara (giraffe)

I found this big statue at the crossing which chuo-dori(strret) meets yaesu-dori(street).
I think this giraffe is elegant.


I'm walking along chuo-dori to the north.
If I turn to left this crossing, I will get Tokyo station easily.
But I keep walking straight.
Because I go to akihabara by walking.

Statue of Saigo Takamori

This is a well known statue in ueno park.
I thik it is a symbol of ueno.
Saigo Takamori is one of leader of the Meiji Restoration.
This is a statue that Saigo take a dog out for a walk.

It is very popular for visiters of the park.
But, they say that his wife didn't like it, Because she thought those clothes in the statue are poor.
