Kaizando Hall and Cherry Blossoms

Kaizando is a hall of Kaneiji temple.
It is located in the north of Ueno park.
In cherry blossoms time, Ueno park is very very crowded, but around the temple is calm.

This place has been a popular cherry blossom viewing spot since the middle of Edo era.

It is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in heart of Tokyo.

Under Yaezakura Cherry Blossoms

Yoshino cherry (Somei-yoshino) blossoms have already finished in Tokyo.
But Yaezakura cherry blossoms are nice to view now.
I took these photos in Imperial palace plaza today.
And I enjoyed walking under those cherry blossoms.

Kamiike Garden at Cherry Blossom Time

Kamiike Garden is a fantastic Japanese style garden located in Yasukuni Shrine.
It is a very calm and peaceful place.

I visited Yasukuni shrine today.
Cherry trees in the shrine were not in full bloom yet, but beautiful enough for me.

I visited Ueno park again.

Almost petals of the blossoms had fallen.

But I love this peaceful　atmosphere in the park.

Cherry Blossom in Ninomaru Garden

I took these photos in Ninomaru ( second citadel ) Garden of Higashi Gyoen ( The East Gardens of Imperial palace ) that is located on the site of former Edo castle.
That cherry tree stands by Ninomaru pond.

Hirakawa Mon and Weeping Cherry

Hirakawa Mon (gate) is a gate of former Edo castle.
We can go through the gate freely and visit Higashi Gyoen ( The East Gardens of Imperial Palace ).
From tomorrow, I will introduce you Higashi Gyoen in spring again.

Cherry Blossoms in Ueno Park

Today, I visited ueno park that is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing point in Tokyo.
Today is wednesday, and cloudy, but the park is so crowded.
I think those cherry blossoms in the park will be in full bloom soon.

Shinobazu Bentendo and Cherry Blossom

Shinobazu bentendo (hall) is located on the small island in shinobazu pond.
I took this photo on a stroll road along the pond.

Five Storied Pagoda with Cherry Blossoms

I have already introduced you five storied pagoda in ueno park in this year.
I took this photo last Saturday, from the precincts of ueno toshogu shrine.
Those cherry blossoms was in full bloom.
The pagoda was hid with cherry blossoms.

Sotobori-dori by Ushigome-bori

I took these photos on sotobori-dori (street) by ushigome-bori (moat) yesterday.
It is close to iidabashi station.
Those cherry trees were almost in full bloom.


Ushigome-bori is a outer moat of former edo castle.

Full Bloom

At last, Cherry trees at chidorigafuchi have been in full bloom.
Today, I went to chidorigafuchi again, and took these photos.
Please compare them with photos I took a week ago.
Today is Saturday, that place was very crowded.

Yasukuni-dori at Kudanshita

I took this photo on yasukuni-dori (street) at kudanshita last Saturday.
It is close to kudanshita subway station.
Those cherry trees on the street started blooming.
Tokyo is in cherry blossom season now.

A Cameraman in Ueno Park

Ueno park is a well known Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) point in Tokyo.
I took these photos on last Saturday.
It was first Saturday in Hanami season of this year.
He is a newspaper cameraman.
He took photo in the crowd.
I think he has a very good sense of balance.
