This is a statue of confucius.
Yushima Seido was established by tokugawa shogunate in 1690 as confucius temple.
I walk on the pass way along the wall.
I found a gate on the side of the pass way.
This gate is called "nyutokumon".
It was built in 1704.
I still walk on the pass way.
I go through this gate to approch to main hall.
I go up the hill to see main hall.
To be continued.

My favourite picture in today's series is the one of Confucius. He is a very wise man, whose words I enjoy reading. It's good to see he has such a nice statue in an appropriate place like this. Thank you for showing it nobu, it is special.
the gates are very beautyful ,the walls seem to be build in a very different way than ours, but it's true that the statue of Confucius is very great and impressive. We see him almost like a legend, we still are reading today what he wrote centuries ago, and it's fascinating to see his face. This place is like an oasis of peace. Thanks for sharing.
This looks like a wonderful place to visit! Confucius statue is just great!
I like the change of 'Pace' in these pictures. The calm & serene look of it all is beautiful!
