Winter Peony in Ueno Park
Winter peony is called "huyu-botan" or "kan-botan" in Japanese.
Flower of winter peony is smaller than that of peony which bloom in spring.
But those winter peony which bloom bearing with cold of winter is lovely.
I took these photos in the peony garden of ueno toshogu shrine that is located in ueno park.
Those winter peony are protected with the snow fence which is made of straw.
