Kusunoki in Hibiya Park
I took this photo in hibiya park which is located heart of Tokyo.
Kusunoki is a large ever green tree.
It is called "camphor laurel" in English.

Beautyful tall tree. It must have seen a lot of things and have a lot of things to tell..;
Hello Nobu!
This tree is fabulous! Is it possible to grow this tree as bonsai?
Have a beautiful Sunday
Kind regards,
Léia :-)
I love crushing the leaves in my hand and lifting them close to my face, enjoying the fragrance. I always think of the Japanese historical saga, Taiheiki when I come across these trees because one of the main characters was named Kusunoki.
Thanks all!!
Leia; I suppose it is possible.
Tall Gary; Please check my article of Kusunoki Masashige from the link below.

I love big trees that provide a lot of shade, and this is beautiful!
Very nice. Looks like a tree in my backyard.
I'll have to find this tree in some botanic garden!
An image with colors and light very beautiful: the tree is a green hug
and a safe shelter.
Wonderful moment!
Beutiful tree!
it's summer all over the world!
Hi , Nobu
It has been several days since you did not post;We had bad news from Japan on TV informations, that's why I'm worrying .I hope everything is alright for you, and that you'll be back soon.
Evergreens are great, because they always look fresh.
Like Malyss I hope you're OK nobu, but I think it's fine not to post every single day. I feel it makes blogging more relaxed.
