Tatsumi Yagura
It was a turret of former Edo castle.
This two story turret is called "Tatsumi yagura".
"yagura" means turret.
You can see it from Imperial palace plaza.

It's a beautiful little tower. And two nice photos.
Beautiful...I always loved Japanese architecture.
Beautiful! Great photos! I like your perspective and reflections in the water! Nice capture!
The castle is especially interesting as it is quite different than castles elsewhere. It is a fine-looking building and abides in a lovely setting!
For a turret, it sure has great architecture! It's beautiful!
A real travel through the time...To see the turret through the pines branches makes the picture like a painting framed with green. The typical Japanese architecture helps the imagination to think about what life could be in edo times...Beautyful scenery!
Great shots! The 1st one has a beautiful reflection and the 2nd a lovely composition!
What a wide moat! Are the past Japanese people build it by-hand??
