Nijyu-bashi
This bridge (photo above) is made of stone.
It leads to the main gate of Imperial palace from Imperial palace plaza.
You can see fushimi-turret of former Edo castle over the bridge.
And there are another bridge over this moat.
It is behind this bridge.
This bridge is made of iron.
It leads to inside of imperial palace from main gate.
We usually call those two bridges "Nijyu-bashi"
But originally "nijyu-bashi" indicate this iron bridge.

Lovely bridge! What a beautiful and peaceful place that is!
Nice bridges and so inviting for a walk over them today! I am glad you enjoyed the Desert Wildflower Chihuly exhibit on my site. Everybody loves Chihuly. I will keep posting more of Chihuly over time.
Beautiful images for a truly charming place ...
I would wal among a lot of beauty...
:-)
Nice bridges, especially the picture of the stone bridge is very good.
The place looks like a fairy tale. Wonderful!
It just says serenity. Images to be at peace with.
I like them both. I'm partial to stone bridges, but I think it's only because they're so rare these days.
Very nice bridge view!
