Hilltop Hotel is located at kanda-surugadai in ochanomizu.
This building was built in 1936 and opened as hotel in 1954.
This classical hotel was loved by Japanese excellent writers such as Yasunari Kawabata and Yukio Mishima.

I read three books of Kawabata , which I like very much, but I could not find more books of him here, ,and about ten books of Yukio Mishima .Mishima is much more known than Kawabata here, maybe because he had a scandalous and strange life and because of the way he gave death to himself..
I like to see places where my favorite writers have been; that makes them more alive to me, more "real", if you understand what I mean...
Must be a special hotel if famous writers stay there. The hotel name hilltop seems appropriate judging by the second picture. It sounds like hilton, only slightly better :-)
