It is a publicity for opening ginza "Francfranc".
"Francfranc" is a home furnishing store that is popular in young ladies.

Christmas Eve in Ginza

I took these photos today in ginza.




Photo above is "Mikimoto Christmas Tree".
I introduced it in my previous post.




I took photo above on a corner of ginza 4 chome crossing.
You can see Ginza Mitsukoshi (department store) in the photo.

Mikimoto Christmas Tree 2009

I took these photos on chuo-dori (street) at ginza with my cell phone camera.
This tree was displayed in front of Mikimoto main store.


They set snowmen made of glass under the tree.

Sony Aquarium 2009

Sony Aquarium is an event that is held in middle of Ginza.
Those fishes came from okinawa.
Okinawa is a prefecture located southern end of Japan.
I took these photos in front of sony building which stands on a corner of ginza 4-chome crossing.

Hydrangea in Ginza

I took this photo in front of Mikimoto (Mikimoto pearl) at ginza.
When I went to ginza, I often saw something nice at there.

By the way, hydrangea is a typical flower in rainy season.
Many peaople stop to view those flowers.
It looks like a small flower garden in ginza.

Cow in Ginza

This is an event of "Milk Expo".
It was a first time I saw cow in ginza.
Everybody who passed by there, were surprised at the cow.

You can see sukiyabashi crossing over there.

Those weeping willows really looks weeping in the rain.

Bar Lupin

I found this narrow alley, when I walked along miyuki-dori (street) in ginza.
You can see sign of "Lupin" in this photo.

Bar, "Lupin" was loved by excellent novelists such as Yasunari Kawabata (1899-1972) and Kafu Nagai (1879-1959).
A famous portrait of Osamu Dazai (1909-1948) and Ango Sakaguchi (1906-1955), was taken in the bar by photographer, Tadahiko Hayashi (1918-1990).

Taimei Elementary School

Taimei elementary school is located in ginza, and it faces to miyuki-dori (street).
In the first photo, you can see yurakucho marion over the school building.
This school building was built in 1929.

Hurry Up

I took this photo on that day when Ginza Yanagi Matsuri (Ginza Willow Festival) was held.
Many people joined to parade of the festival.
Those boys were moving to startspot of parade through the back street.

This is an event of Ginza Yanagi Matsuri (Ginza Willow Festival).
Hello Kitty get on a rickshaw, and join the parade.
Of course she wears kimono.

Rickshaw in Ginza

I took this photo on sotobori-dori (street) at ginza.
Those rickshaws are for parade of Ginza Yanagi Matsuri.
You can see runners of rickshaw in this photo.

Ginza Yanagi Matsuri

The 4 th Ginza Yanagi Matsuri ( ginza willow festival ) was held on May 5.
May 5 is a national holiday in Japan as "children's day.
I took this photo just before the parade started.
By the way, yagagi means willow.
Willow is a symbol of ginza.

Horse in GInza

I took these photos on sotobori-dori (street) at ginza yesterday.
Ginza is a well known up-market district located in heart of Tokyo.
I have seen horse in ginza at first time.


The young lady on the horse is a police officer of metropolitan police department.

Flower Carpet in Ginza

I took these photos on Miyuki-dori ( street ) in Ginza yesterday.
This event is held on April 29 every year.
That day is a national holiday in Japan, many people enjoy it.
Those tulips came from toyama prefecture.

Miharabashi Crossing

Miharabashi crossing is a crossing which harumi-dori(street) meets showa-dori(street).
If you walk to the East from ginza 4 chome crossing along harumi-dori, you will see this scenery.
You can see kabuki-za theater in this photo.
I will post photos of kabuki-za theater tomorrow.

Saturday Afternoon at Ginza 5 chome

I took these photos on chuo-dori(street) at ginza 5 chome.

It was on Saturday, That place was car free in day time.

That atmosphere is different from week day's.

Walking from Ginza to Akihabara (Ginza)

I'm at ginza 3-chome.
Today, I decided to take a long walk from here to akihabara with taking photos.


This is chuo-dori(street) at ginza
Several brand shops are both side of the street.
If I walk along this street to the north, I will get to akihabara.

New Year's Decoration at Mikimoto
