Taimei Elementary School

Taimei elementary school is located in ginza, and it faces to miyuki-dori (street).
In the first photo, you can see yurakucho marion over the school building.
This school building was built in 1929.

Sukiyabashi Crossing in the Evening

This crossing is in ginza district.
I took this photo on Saturday evening.
That building on the corner is fujiya ginza building.

Kumogata-pond in Hibiya Park

I have already introduced you shinji-pond in hibiya park.
Today, I introduce you another pond in the park.

This pond is called "kumogata ike".
"Kumogata " means figure of cloud.
You can see lovely fountain in the pon.

Pavement along the Park

This is a pavement of harumi-dori (street).
The right side of the street is hibiya park .
You can see pink azalea in this photo.

Heron in Hibiya Park

I have already introduced you shinji-pond in hibiya park.

When I went to there last Saturday, a heron stay on the stone in the pond.

You can also see a tortoise on the stone.

That scenery just looks like some Japanese traditional paintings.

Harumi-dori (street)

You can see Imperial palace moat in the left side of this photo.
And on the other side of the street, hibiya park is located.
If you go straight along the street (to the south), you will be ginza district soon.

Sakurada Mon (Gate)

I took this photo from harumi-dori (street).
We can go through the gate freely, and enter Imperial palace plaza.
Sakurada mon was a gate of edo castle.

Sakurada bori was a moat of edo castle.
You can see the national diet building in distance.

Kameido Tenjin

Kameido tenjin is a shinto shrine that worship Sugawara Michizane.
In nowadays, Sugawara Michizane is worshiped as god of study.
This shrine is located in koto ward.
You can go to there from kameido station by walking.

Kusunoki in Hibiya Park

I took this photo in hibiya park which is located heart of Tokyo.
Kusunoki is a large ever green tree.
It is called "camphor laurel" in English.

Large Fountain in Hibiya Park

This fountain is a symbol of hibiya park.
It was completed in 1961.
This fountain and surrounding is often featured in media.

Pond in the Rain

On that day when I took this photo, it was drizzle.
About the pond was calm, and then, I forgot I was in heart of Tokyo in a moment.

Hurry Up

I took this photo on that day when Ginza Yanagi Matsuri (Ginza Willow Festival) was held.
Many people joined to parade of the festival.
Those boys were moving to startspot of parade through the back street.

I took this photo at Katori shrine in kameido, Tokyo.
When I visited there, it was calm.
She got 82 in this year.

Hello Kitty on Rickshaw

This is an event of Ginza Yanagi Matsuri (Ginza Willow Festival).
Hello Kitty get on a rickshaw, and join the parade.
Of course she wears kimono.

Rickshaw in Ginza

I took this photo on sotobori-dori (street) at ginza.
Those rickshaws are for parade of Ginza Yanagi Matsuri.
You can see runners of rickshaw in this photo.

Ginza Yanagi Matsuri

The 4 th Ginza Yanagi Matsuri ( ginza willow festival ) was held on May 5.
May 5 is a national holiday in Japan as "children's day.
I took this photo just before the parade started.
By the way, yagagi means willow.
Willow is a symbol of ginza.

Horse in GInza

I took these photos on sotobori-dori (street) at ginza yesterday.
Ginza is a well known up-market district located in heart of Tokyo.
I have seen horse in ginza at first time.


The young lady on the horse is a police officer of metropolitan police department.

All Alone

Today, I went to hibiya park again.
When I went to there, it drizzled.
I saw no one around me.
When I took a photo in the park, I found something small moving on the lawn.
It was a tortoise.
Maybe she came from a pond in the park.

Shinji-pond in Hibiya Park

This pond is located in hibiya park
Hibiya-park is designed with western style.
But this pond and garden around the pond have traditional Japanese style.
That place was a moat of former edo-castle ever.
You can see stone wall over the pond in these photos.

By the way "shinji (心字) literally means a character (symbol) that indicate "heart".
The shape of the pond looks like figure of a kanji symbol, "心 (kokoro, shin)".
(If you look at the pond from above the pond.)

This idea came from Zen (禅).

Hibiya Park

Hibiya Park is a large park located in heart of Tokyo.
It was opened in 1903.
This park is next to busy districts such as yurakucho and kasumigaseki.
But you can be in rich green in this park.

Green Leaves along the street

I took this photo on hibiya-dori (street) at marunouchi.
Ginkgo trees along the street have young green leaves.
Those ginkgo leaves turn to yellow in autumn.

Azalea by the Moat

I took this photo in marunouchi (district ).

It is in heart of Tokyo.

Do you remember that moat?

It is a outer moat of former edo castle.

When I walked along the moat, I found this flower.

Azalea is one of my favorite flower in spring.
